How can you tell it’s under extruded?

If there’s some clear sign of under extrusion it might be useful for my reference doc I use when trying to troubleshoot failed prints.

I had been using linux in some capacity (dual-boot, alternate computer, homelab, etc.) for close to twenty years, but there was always some functionality (mostly gaming) that held me back from switching fully. Then something like two or three years ago Proton/Wine finally got to where basically everything I wanted to run was able to run with no more effort on my part than doing the same thing under Windows. At that time I had been dual-booting Windows and Fedora for a little over a year and Windows/Manjaro for about a year prior to that and hadn’t had to boot into windows for almost six months. So, I formatted the Windows drive and haven’t looked back.

Acetone smoothing is mainly for FDM prints made from ABS or ASA and works because those plastics are readily soluble in acetone.

For resin prints acetone can be used as a substitute for or additive to IPA when cleaning off excess resin before curing. There’s even some evidence that it works better than IPA alone for this purpose. Although, if you leave a resin print in the acetone too long it can cause some discoloration and make the part more brittle.

I’ve been using linux off and on for almost 20 years, though only did a full transition to linux for everything about two years ago. I use debian for the servers in my homelab and Fedora on all my other computers.
