Logging in via the app. It launches the browser. If using Firefox you have to do the extra step I mentioned.
Here’s the screen.
Ecobee also requires chrome, but had a work around. Not sure if it’ll work here, but ecobee said to hit the 3 dot menu and choose open in app after the login failed and that logged you in.
We have lg washer and dryer and I just set up thinQ on my wifes new phone. It asked for location and when denied it said automations might not work. Asked my wife, she said what’s that? So location disabled app works fine. My main issue is not being able to just set a custom wash or dry from the machine. Why do I have to download a program if all I want is to lower the dryer temp without choosing delicate, which also shortens the time. Just have a full custom cycle and let me customize it.

If Microsoft ever makes a product that doesn’t suck, it’ll be a vacuum cleaner.

I started occasionally using reddit way back, probably around when I was also heavy on slashdot. I hated reddits website. Honestly even old is crap. There used to be a simplified app like version of the website you could access, forget what it was though. That was at least user friendly and functional. When I found sync is when I actually got heavy into reddit because something had solved all of reddits glaring issues.

But I also got a text that the ballot was coming and another a few days after mailing saying it was accepted and counted. I imagine it would be annoying if I had to get a new ballot because some ass caught it on fire, but probably not any more so than having to vote like in the pic.

Itsamelemmy@lemmy.zipto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•why does every single flashlight have multiple settings that you have to scroll through?English3·11 months agoI mean for that, my phone works fine. I set the bixby button to turn on\off the flashlight. Single button on off always on me. Of course being programmable, you could program a simple on off as well on the hex.
I used the hexbright camping and stargazing. The hold setting is so dim its useless unless you’re in pitch black and just need to see the star chart. And you don’t want bright as it takes at least 30 minutes to recover your night vision after a bright flash so that’s what my use case was.

Itsamelemmy@lemmy.zipto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•why does every single flashlight have multiple settings that you have to scroll through?English9·11 months agoI have 2 Hexbright flashlights. They’re programmable so you can make it work however you want. Really wish the company went beyond the kickstarter because I’d love some different models with the same customization.
I have mine programmed where from off hold=as low as possible. Then standardish 3 brightness, starts at low first click. Hold button while on for turbo. But my favorite part is if you don’t click the button for 5 seconds, the next click is off instead of the next brightness. Saves your night vision not having to cycle through high to turn off.

Same. But mark read has been broken for a while and at $20+ for no ads or ultra dev really needs to be on top of these updates to justify the price. My ultra expired a few weeks ago, but I’m not paying again unless he stops treating this like reddit. Reddit was pretty stable so didn’t mind the long gaps with no updates. But at 5x the cost …update

I don’t recall if it was mandatory during setup or not. I can control it locally when the internet is down, at least from the wall, I don’t think the app would work. But again, I wanted the remote features so I didn’t even try to set it up without an account.
Home assistant may work as well, but I don’t use it.
