Every time Overlord gets a new volume release it gives me the itch to play an MMO again. Thankfully I’ve been WoW-free for years but it did get me to try FFXIV and GW2, the latter of which I’m still casually playing to this day.

Tsumiku marking her territory! Is this the beginning of a dog vs cat war?
Is it finally time for the father reveal!? There is definitely a lot Ruri could learn from speaking with an actual dragon.
I also really liked this Ruri face, quality react image material:
Touching pinkies? Holding hands!? And now living together? This episode might require identity verification to watch in UK!

Reject humanity, return to dragon!
NGL, I didn’t expect Okarun to still be in the house, I was sure he was gonna come from off-screen at any point or already be safe on the spaceship. That worm’s saliva must have some incredible thermal resistance for them to not have been cooked!
These chapters have been so cute lately, can’t wait for their totally-not-a-date at the zoo next week!
Big reveal about Miko’s dad being able to see spirits in life, explains why he is so chill with whatever the horse demon thing is that is protecting their household. I really like how it shows the spirit being clear even when he’s not wearing glasses, it shows that spirit vision doesn’t rely entirely on sight but something more.
I think the anime that made me tear up the hardest was Assassination Classroom, I didn’t expect this goofy premise with an ending that’s pretty much spelled out for you from the very beginning to actually hit as hard as it did when the moment came.
With the news of MangaDex’s demise it looks like I’m going back to the old RSS feed + aggregator sites method. I already followed some series that way because of publisher region locking BS (Viz…), this just makes me switch all of my active series to this method.
I know it’s a manga about dragons but I still wonder where all this ice is coming from. Is she sucking out the moisture from the surrounding air? Using her own body’s water supply? I feel like that would dehydrate her incredibly quickly so maybe a mixture of both? The answer is probably ‘dragon magic’ but I’m still curious about the deeper physical implications of these powers.
What an ending! I was a bit worried but they wrapped things up pretty nicely. And of course in a typical Re:Zero fashion there was no way we could end things on such a high note, gotta add some suffering at the very end. We also have season 4 confirmation already so we might not have to wait 3 years like before for this cliffhanger to resolve!
Really nice conclusion to this arc, most friendships start from a very superficial point, like liking the same thing or how they look but then learning more about the person and enjoying them for who they are. Ruri’s circle of friends might have gathered around her because of her unusual look but they all stayed with her because of who she really is, half-dragon or not.
I hope next week we get a 30min episode (or the actual dream, another 1,5h one like the first one) because there is still so much stuff to go through and only one episode left in the season. I feel like it’s pretty much unavoidable they end it on a cliffhanger, but hopefully at least some of the plot points get resolved and we won’t be left waiting for 3+ years for answers.
I don’t think Reinhard and Wilhelm made up, if anything their relationship is more hostile now than ever. Wilhelm called out to him using his name, asking Reinhard if he regretted his actions. After getting his answer, he turns his back to him and addresses him as “Sword Saint Reinhard-dono”, using a very formal tone and his title and tells him he has nothing more to say to him. He goes from trying to reach out to a family member to coldly addressing a title bearer, a title that he likely hates considering what is has done to his love. While he understands why Reinhard did what he did he cannot accept his answer and so tells him to effectively “get lost”, just in a more polite manner.
What an amazing episode! The Astrea family really is cursed, everyone in there seems to be miserable all thanks to the “blessing” of the sword saint. It turned Theressia from a happy flower loving girl into a war-scarred orphan, while poor Reinhard did the only reasonable thing he could do in the moment and it destroyed his relationship with his grandfather and pushed his father to hate him even further, considering he “killed” his grandmother twice now. It makes one almost able to feel some sympathy for even Heinkel, although I still can’t feel bad for the bastard.
Ruri is becoming more and more dragon every day! At this point I feel like it’s a matter of time before she grows scales or wings. This is definitely the shifting point in the story, she can no longer just blend in with human society and has to consider whether she is OK with still trying to participate in it despite her differences. Also, sensei definitely knows too much, not enough to make me think he’s a dragon himself but some kind of dragon researching scientist? A government agent? Definitely not just a normal teacher, for sure!
Regulus is down! Guy really went out in the worst possible way, slowly alternating between the pain of stopping his heart and drowning. He gets no sympathy from me though, bastard more than deserved it! Watching Emilia go full ORAORAORA on him was great, and of course Reinhard just couldn’t resist having the flashiest possible entrance, pulling off the Saitama special and launching himself off the moon.
Turbo Baba teaching a lesson on why action economy is king. Okarun really needs to level up his speed stat!
