Unless you have an Asus m32cd_a_f_k20cd_k31cd motherboard. I’ve tried EVERY bloody configuration in the bios possible and several different distros, and they all crash / freeze during installation. Fuck you Asus 🤬

Hey thanks for the reply. I wasn’t aware of that community. Thanks very much!
Man, I so WISH I could say no to windows. I would install Mint today if I could. It just won’t install. It begins to install and then just hangs for hours and never installs. I’ve tried other distros and they all fail, one way or another. I’m pretty sure (but not positive) it has something to do with my bios settings but no matter what I try, I have no luck.

12·6 months agoNah, I can’t say that about Star Link despite who the awful owner is. People rely too heavily on Star Link now and there’s no competition. If you need a car you can buy a different EV, but they can’t do the same for an Internet connection. However, this would be a great time for some other billionaire who sucks a little less to start a competitor.

“Good. Fuck 'em”

I’m sure that is often the case. But with this series, Its this specific model. A friend of mine has the Asus M32 from the previous year and he was able to get mint installed without any issues. Just bad luck with the model I bought. It’s always given me headaches so not being able to switch to linux tracks
