The one thing ai should be good at, replacing Siri style assistants for creating calendar events, timers, and sending texts hands free is still absent on all major platforms.

I find the terminal very quiet and cozy compared to desktop apps.

I have probably an unhealthy amount of nvim and tmux shortcuts.

It’s a shame they’re both terrible.

It would be nice to have a more modern and clean shell script language.

If I were a god I’d strike anyone manually changing the title font and size instead of using a style with lightning.

I’d wait until they pressed enter twice and started typing so I knew that they weren’t going to update or create a style.

Today my boss asked me why Gemini suggested made up columns when he was trying to query our database. I just told him it also makes up fake tables.

Create a desktop without tiling and run steam on it.

I like Cosmic, it was a little janky with steam windows when I tried it, but everything else was very nice.

Liked the hot keys, tiling, theming, and a decent built in terminal.

Really putting that cart out well before the horse.

I knew this would happen though.

In theory it would be cool to track inventory automatically for restocking, and you could have an app where owner can pay things to the fridge for the rest of the family to see.

In practice nobody would use that app, whiteboards are more fun, and it would never be able to tell what’s in containers of leftovers.
