The way I’ve seen cats react to things - combined with their incredible ability to flip their bodies and land on their feet most of the time - makes me think this isn’t as likely an outcome as you make it sound. Not that I recommend this, but cats are amazing survivors. The “nine lives” moniker exists for good reason.
