      Spez sucks, but is there any proof of that? My understanding is that back then you could make anyone a moderator against their will, which someone did with r/Jailbait… 🤢

        That was after he gave the head mod of the sub an award for the traffic it was bringing the site. Steve Huffman was explicitly aware of the jailbait sub before and after being made a moderator of it. He is best case scenario a pedophile sympathizer.

        He owned the website. He controlled it completely. He wasn’t powerless to stop them from making him a mod (which he remained for a long time, even when people pointed it out publicly) and he wasn’t powerless to remove the literal child porn subreddit before it became a national news story.

        I don’t know if he is personally. I do know they were handing out physical trophies to people who made communities that made them money, including people posting underage girls.

        Oh, and also I got banned for saying we need harsher penalties for people who harm children. Probably bot flagged, but upheld in a review.

        He may not be one, but Reddit generally stands with pedophiles, and opposes people who stand against them. And historically have done.
