…The Sweetest Cat, who prefers me over all the rest (came with his more boss cat big brother, but he died after three-months),
He has Hyperthyroidism, takes medicine for him to live longer & has “Rat” Alser (SP?) on his chin, wound that never goes away & scabs over, but flakes off & then bleeds.
Problem #1. A. I can never get him to eat enough, all day, though Vet. told us he will never feel full.
How can I get him to eat more?
Problem #1. B. Sweetest cat always wants to eat together with our use the dogs’ big & taller water bowl, spilling tons of blood in their drink water. I think the answer might be, when a dog’s food bowl is no longer needed, then make that the sweetest cat’s water bowl & allow the hungriest cat to use the other two-smaller & shorter cat water bowls.
Any other ideas to get the sweetest cat to not drink out of the dogs’ water bowl & spill is blood into their water?
Problem #1. C. He always wants to eat together with our other cat, who will just keep eating, until round ball, so I cannot feed the sweetest cat, without putting his buddy & always hungry cat on leash attached to something to heavy to move & putting the sweetest cat on leash attached underneath the foot of the brandnew cat box. Partly so if the sweetest cat needs to use the bathroom he can reach either cat boxes, before he finishes his meal, as he has habit of pause in eating, then peeing on floor.
How can I get him to stop wanting to eat with the other cat, in same dish?
Problem #2. I cannot get him to use either of two-cat boxes even just more times than not using one of them. He pees on all floors & rugs, even on the spare room’s bed (that cats & I use to watch TV & pet each other).
We bought a brandnew all steel cat box, that just can easily be washed-out & no smells stick to it. Yet he does use that one either,
How can I get him to use new cat box?
A: Its hard to get a cat that doesn’t want to eat, to eat, especially when a different cat in the room is ready to dive in. If its possible, separating them while they are eating might help, and cleaning up the food after a certain period of time so they know they can’t come back to it later can help, but it doesn’t could like this little guy is very food motivated right now, so it may not help and you don’t want to deprive him of food
B: Cats will drink water out of whatever you don’t want them to it seems, maybe try filling a coffee/tea mug with water and leaving it in a favorite cat location? We have a special coffee cup that migrates around the house, one of our cats used to drink out of it every morning sitting across from me while I had breakfast. I bet your cat will still drink out of the dog bowl though, its special water!
C: As with A, perhaps separating them during feeding might help, at least until you can get them eating well. Even opposite sides of a door can be effective, they’ll look at you like you’re crazy when you wander away from them with their food to the bathroom door, but they’ll get the hang of it. Maybe save some of the hungry cat’s food as a treat they can eat together if they both like that arrangement.
D: Cats pee outside of their boxes for so many reasons, its very hard to know. For example, our cat started peeing outside the box after our other cat passed away and I cleaned the boxes for the first time. Turns out he wanted the little door flaps removed and he stopped right away. Other times they do it because they are scared or upset about something. It could be that a recent move or change has him on edge, or the other cat stresses him out, or his stomach hurts and he wants you to know about it, or he doesn’t like the box or litter. It’s a tough thing to figure out, but if you can learn the cause, you can help address it and the habit might go away. It might also be a habit, and in that case I don’t have much advice beyond the positive reinforcement someone else suggested.
Thanks, for suggestions,
A: Both cats have to put on leashes, cat concerned about attached to a cat box’s foot & other about 5-ft. away attached to two-chairs’ legs. Rest does not work, but seems to also want me stay with him, I would become a distraction, any time I am around & I do everything in our home & property, do not have 15-Mins. to waste.
B: Already done & cat will still drinks out of the dog bowl though, its special water!
C: Tried before, the concern for cat is a social eater, & wants open air & the other is solitary cat, so will eat all the food. Will try it again.
D: Tried (for years) all but two-things- positive reinforcement, just started & killing the scent of his pee & poop- he does in same spots. I even moved is water & food dishes to where his most peed & pooped spot, but just has others.
Your title gore is next level bro
What does gore mean? I do not understand?
It merely means that your title is very hard to read.
Hate people who only want short & quick communications.
Who said anything about that? Are you telling me that your reading abilities are as good as your writing is? (Hint: yes, you are).
Stop being offended and start being concise. You’ll get better results 💪😜
No need to post exchange with people with that perspective.
