Its illegitimate, and people who sworn an oath to the constitution should really try to take back control and restore constitutional order. As in the way the Union dealt with the confederates. The Union held an election during the civil war, they simply just don’t count the electors from the rebel states, so we just do the same right now. Pro-constitution states should get together, hold federal elections in those states, and declare those elected officials to be the real United States government.

Texas threatens this every decade or so. The problem is that any individual states outside of New York and California would not be able to subsist. These two states because they have massive economies and are coastal, others because they are landlocked between.
The first order of business down this road is finding legal ways to stop the flow of money from these states to the federal government and starving them, which will invariably destroy the country as a whole.
