id like to add the search engine ecosia as a european alternative to google. ecosia (german) and qwant (frensh) joined forces and are currently building a european search index to get more independent from american based indexes. granted they still use google and bing, but everyone does that and european are on a good way to give an alternative. also both ecosia and qwant use renewables as energy.
