For a good month, it was nearly impossible to avoid hearing about it. Now, I can’t find any news.

Probably now that support is in the kernel anyone who wants to use it is busy actually writing code.

Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).
