ArtZuron
I am a hobbyist artist, but I do like to do commissions when I can! I’ll probably mostly post my art on here, but I’ll probably end up engaging with a lot more.

ArtZuron@beehaw.orgto Chat@beehaw.org•What's an equivalent replacement for the word "lame"?English2·2 years agoReminds me of “Hysteria” which was effectively just the medical excuse to penalize women for getting “uppity.” Nowadays, there’s even one that the police have been using recently called “excited delirium” or something, which is what they try to compel coroners to use when they kill someone through unreasonable levels of force when those people fight for their lives.

ArtZuron@beehaw.orgto Chat@beehaw.org•What's an equivalent replacement for the word "lame"?English1·2 years agoMoron, imbecile, and dullard came out of eugenics IIRC. Does “lame” have that origin too?
I’ve heard it used to refer to injured or weakened legs, as well as the creature they’re attached to. As in, “the cow was lame because of its injured hoof.” I’ve heard it used to refer to something that is boring or disappointing. “That movie was lame.” or “That was lame.”
I wouldn’t doubt that there is some negative connotation for it though. Terrible people tend to take innocuous words and twist them to suit their schemes.
ArtZuron@beehaw.orgto Chat@beehaw.org•What's an equivalent replacement for the word "lame"?English8·2 years agoThat’s my thinking too. It’s too removed from its roots to really have a negative context for most folks.

I didn’t say all the debt, or even a lot of it. You even gave an example of debt that can follow your family.
Edit: this is also assuming you are in the US. Which isn’t the whole world.
That’s the rub isn’t it. You’re not supposed to ever get out of debt. As long as you are in debt, someone’s earning interest on it. And that debt can even follow your family long after you are gone.
However, for some folks, being themselves is the exact opposite thing they should be doing if they want to get out of that rut. Some people really do just need to change who they are.
It could also be a big part of why Renalla is so torn up and despondent. It wasn’t just Radagon leaving her, but also from a lost child. Double tap.
Considering that the Rune of the Unborn was removed from the Elden Ring BEFORE the Shattering, and that Radagon IS Marika, I suppose it’s an option. Perhaps they tried to use the rune to try and save the child, but it didn’t work.
I’ve also heard theories that the wedding was a scheme to weaken Renalla and the Carians the entire time, that Radagon poisoned them from within and then returned as the second Elden Lord to seal the deal. It could be both. Perhaps the Knights of the Cuckoo aren’t just a fun name, but a tell of what Radagon did. He replaced Renalla’s children and attention towards her own family to an impostor. And it worked. Caria fell, Renalla became a shell of a woman, and the only member left that is doing reasonably okay is Ranni. If you call being a doll and committing heresy and blasphemy okay. If that’s fine, than I suppose Rykard’s pretty based as well.
Thanks!

Thank you!
If you would like a deck printed out and shipped to you, we can work it out. I don’t have a shop for them or anything, so I’ve been doing it by request effectively! If you are interested, you can message me!
I’m not really a superstitious person, but I do appreciate the art that goes into some of those really awesome tarot cards!

The more people in a public place, the more likely you are to get argumentative people in the mix. There’s going to be someone who throws the first punch.
