I agree with all of the points and perspectives in your blog but I can’t wrap my head around why you’d want to be in FL. I work in tech, as a remote employee in FL and I am planning to move in 2024. Most of my friends have left this state over the past few years. You mention brain drain amongst companies (which I do not dispute) but it’s happening to the general population around you. What’s your plan for dealing with that?
Anyone remember before LinkedIn when there was a law that people didn’t have to disclose their race on a job application, and how 90% of people ignored that protection and decided to post up their headshot on linked in anyway?
I already see where this is going. The far-right is going to fuck up their credit scores even worse and then blame the NWO or wokeness or socialism or anything but their own stupidity when they cant get a car loan in 3 years.

Par for the course in the era of runaway corporate greed.
I actually have no idea what I was talking about when I wrote that. That’s a bit troubling.
I appreciate you spreading open source alternatives, but this is one of those things that needs an HR solution; not IT.
I think you’re going to have a bad time. You could always just dual boot Linux and Windows; use Windows when you need to use good software.
I realized that the caffeine in soda impacts me very differently from the caffeine in coffee. I’ll only drink caffeine free soda to mix with my whiskey from now on, otherwise, I’m going to avoid that type of caffeine.
