Amazing xD
They were AGREEING with you all along mate. Please see it. Please.
You’re absolutely right! You then interpreted a response which agreed with you as a problem though, and everything that followed made you look a right tool.
Someone was literally just pointing out that the stigmatisation is ironic given the same logic used in the idiom could be applied to many industries. They acknowledged that it wasn’t, and that the stigma was associated specifically to sex workers, but basically were just having a chuckle that the logic used to denigrate a whole industry could be just as easily applied to lots of “respected” career paths too.
That doesn’t sound like an answer to the question I asked…
Weren’t you having a go at someone for pedantry earlier in this thread…?
Jesus christ mate. All that to make a near identical point to the person you argued with.
What a waste of effort.

Mildly Infuriating@lemmy.world•An £8 sandwich in StarbucksEnglish
1·2 years agoI’d just like to point out that OP is either lying or has been scammed.
Starbucks have consistent pricing and the most expensive sandwich in the UK is £5.10, technically 5.25 for a plant based breakfast item, see here for full menu prices.
But people like getting angry at cost of living issues right now (understandably) so this will get hundreds of upvotes despite being a lie.

People very upset that a company which exists to make money has used the cheaper option for the part of a TV that 80% of buyers will leave in the box anyway.
I saw a comment suggesting that it must only be $5 to add a proper stand. TCL made 30million TVs last year so that’s a substantial bonus for whoever made that choice.
Breaking news! Budget TV has budget parts!
