Oddly enoigh, they recognize this and are patching the hundreds of tiny holes. I would argue they began trying (IMO malformed) fixes back since the launch of windows 8 and .NET. It’s backwards compatability means tiptoing around some pretty huge tech dept. (Windows was DOS and had no security model at one point) Each time they try to pull people off of their older SDKs. If and when they dont stick, the pile of stuff to support grows one more.

(Also WTH where they thinking with windows 8 apps!? The oversimplicity of the UI leading to huge patches of unused screen space, the art design or lack thereof, the janky unpolished UI elements. It’s embarrising for how much pride they had for it.)

All dandelion like discussion topics (strong, competitive and parasitic to other topics, viral) need to be isolated to their own deticated communities and spaces. Dandelions are great in salad from what I hear and are lovely flowers, but I dont want them in my rose garden or it will choke out and kill my roses. If this involves AI, then the AI involvement is just a tool for the artist to use. Its just one of their many brushes. Reminds me of what code completion LLMs are to programmers. Both good and bad things came out of the ability to have literally magic almost mind reading autocomplete.

Disappointed is all I can say really. I like AI, Translation is one of the few things it can actually do that’s not harmful to the world or society. Op is likely not promising me a safe place to talk about AI as a state of the art word calulator but as a creative tool that makes whatever you want. And I can get the former other places.

From what I know, its a communist idea that all governments are inventions and that we are “trying them to see if they work”.
