Hypno was definitely one of the scariest Gen 1 pokemon.
While it awaits its prey, it polishes its pendulum. If anyone comes by, Hypno will hypnotize them and eat their dreams. It carries away people having good dreams and is even known to have stolen a child at one point.

Imagine living in a world where squirrel you startled would jump out of a bush and electrocute people. Or that flower you tried to pick was actually a pokemon and just sprayed you with sarin gas?
In that world I would empathize with gun nuts. How else will you deal with the 30-50 feral Lechonk that run into my yard within 3-5 mins while my small kids play?

I’d rather people not engage with it at all.

It really annoys me how often I see major media others citing reddit these days. It seems it really ramped up after the IPO. It’s never anything good either. They’re just either outsourcing basic journalism or complaining that reddit is too negative.
I miss holographic stuff. Objectively made it harder to read but was still cool.

Which is weird because neither of those things are illegal. You can absolutely tape the radio. You just can’t distribute it. Just like you can copy your own media for your own use as much as you want.

This may just be a semantic argument. Media production can consider it piracy, but that’s irrelevant as it had no legal standing. Without a law prohibiting something, it’s legal. And the fact that they sued and lost means it was never illegal and the media companies can declare it “piracy” or “treason against Columbia Pictures” or whatever they want until they’re blue in the face but no one cares.

The VCR was invented, marketed, and sold to do this very thing. When the VCR first came out (same for betamax) they didn’t sell pre-recorded tapes because the only way they had to make those was to manually record them individually in real-time which was prohibitively expensive. That’s also why movie rental places caught on: early VHS movies were too expensive for most to afford. But not too expensive for a business to rent hundreds of times.
Suffice to say: if recording TV was piracy, it wasn’t illegal and the people bitching had no way to enforce their will.

That linux distro tester is really cool. Bazzite is also pretty neat. Thanks for sharing!

Whatever linux version is on the Steam Deck wasn’t bad to use when I needed Desktop mode. It was pretty similar experience-wise to windows (no mac experience).

When I moved from FL to MD I immediately noticed that there were a lot of services paid for. Like parks, schools, and other things that made life better. I’d rather pay for things than not have them.
And then proceeds to show everyone each episode that the skill threshold is really quite low to paint. Painting as well as he does is pretty tough but almost all of his techniques were very simple.
I’d love to see (it probably exists and I haven’t looked) for someone similar to Bob Ross but for acrylics. I think acrylics are easier to get into than oil paints, both in cost and usage. But I think it’s a bit different in painting technique.

Is it just an IR camera like security cameras use?

What the fuck? Who wants to be competing in sex and romance? I mean that’s the dating scene and a LOT of people hate that shit. Once you get into a relationship, who still wants to do that? Especially in a polyamory relationship: I thought one of the points of polyamory was that each individual was free to love each member in their own way and there wasn’t any real competition and struggle for affection (or as little as possible).
Someone clearly thinks they are going to be at the “top” of their polycule and wants to lord it over people for some pathetic amount of power.

D&D and TTRPGs in general.
Board games toa lesser extent but I’m broadening that knowledge quickly.

What are your favorite mix-ins for hash? Besides the basic 2 ingredients.

VPN is very available but this would probably still stop the majority. It’s like locks: it won’t keep everyone out, just enough not to try.

Nothing Ear (a) could be the best sub-€100 earbuds on the market The Nothing Ear (a) is going to be pretty similar to the Nothing Ear, with the big differences being the waterproof rating and the battery life. So we’re still looking at dual connection, Active Noise Cancellation, and quick charging to get you 10 hours of playback in just 10 minutes.
On the battery life front, you’ll get eight hours of playback with ANC off, and the case will get you 38 hours of playback total. The buds are going to have a waterproof rating of IP54, while the case will get a IP55 rating. All of this for just €100.
Is this better than most other earbuds? I’ve had 2 pair total and have honestly never had a use case for more than 3-4 hours at a time before returning them to the case. But they never sit around not in the case. So I can’t really tell what their charge time is.
$3-400. Upper range if I can’t get anything for a trade-in, which is rare. I generally only get Pixel a-series but would definitely look at motorola again. It’s what I had before a-series existed.
