I highly highly highly doubt that will ever happen. I don’t see how you could achieve such a thing without a fundamental rewrite of Lemmy itself. Or the other option is you basically have a bot going around replicating everything you do, subjecting everyone to your echo. And it’d still not be a perfect sync, because people could only reply to one of the comments/posts

Idk, I’ve got a domain and a reverse proxy with minimal services exposed to the internet. And those services require a login.
I read an interesting thread about “I hate politics” being an inherently anti-minority/anti-oppressed stance. Because to the majority, “politics” is often anything related to race/gender/social-status/etc. so it’s a disservice to those causes to ignore them.
And while I belong to a couple of minority/oppressed groups, I also get the idea of wanting to not be constantly inundated with those debates.
I’ve got no answers other than it’s complicated and something worth thinking about.

Learning about consciousness and the likely deterministic state of reality really fucked with me for a bit. But with some antidepressants and some time, I’ve come around to thinking of all of that in a more abstract artsy way. Like, isn’t it neat that I was always going to type these words in this way at this time. The thoughts in my head feel real, the feeling of that feeling feels real… and it’s all probably just an emergent phenomenon of a self-management mechanism in our brain. Huh, that’s neat. Let’s see what happens next.

This is nice, but not quite the same. Blocks per app are useful, but it’s even nicer when you can have blocks per user. Like I want to block lemmynsfw.com on this account, but not on another account. Right now my solution is using 2 apps.
Unless something’s changed recently, gig workers are not, in practice, independent contractors. At best you get to pick your schedule, but even that can come with penalties to your algorithmically assigned jobs. It’s full on employment minus all the benefits.
