Yup, I agree Debian or Rocky Linux where the first two distros that popped into my mind
You picked some really good books to get started with! Lot of online help these days!
Spot on. The fucking bathroom issue I keep hearing kills me. They are in there to take a shit Karen not to pass you brownies though the stalls and play a game of peak a boo above the stalls
Any reason to not just use TMUX and Weechat or irssi? I had sessions up for years when I was active in IRC
I mean the “Only Moral Abortion is my Abortion “ The rich will just travel overseas for a clinic and spend a week somewhere on a beach for the rest of week sipping on cocktails, while the poor will just get poorer, sicker and hungrier
Awww how cute!!! A McChicken Nugget in dog form!
All jokes aside what a freaking cutie! 11 out of 10 would pet and treat
I guess I missed it having mine on default to reader mode in Voyager
We just use a shared Note on our iPhones. Works well Google Keep also works if your an Android user
Play dough is a good one.
Make sure you get nothing with battery’s and/or makes noise unless you hate the parents
This is a weird neckbeard meme
Yuuuup been there before. Gets worse if you have a kid together. Thankfully I didn’t in my case but I have friends who are “stuck”
I wonder if that’s a new feature. IIRC the issue was with vdevs in ZFS in the pool expansion. I am a FreeBSD user and do have some jails running. I do like ZFS a lot it’s way more mature then BTRFS on the Linux
ZFS is a no go for me due to not being able to add larger disk and then expand my pool size on the fly. MDADM and LVM+XFS have treated me well the past few years. I started with an 12tb pool and now over 50 tb pool
Holy cow these are way cheaper than anything I have seen before. I am in a RAID 5 setup so if a disk or two dies I am okay.
It happens my dude. I have hosted a lot of parties and we used to do a 3-4 day campout with about 20-50 people depending on the year. Some years we would go though almost all the food other years I came back with 40 lbs of pulled pork that I smoked out of the 60 lbs I made. Next year ran out of it 2 days into the 4 day camp out
🔛🔛
lol, just try one for a few months and then switch at some point. At one point in my life I was switch distros every two weeks to a months with some stable distro for 3-6 months. But it was an exciting time in 2004-201. Lot of variety back then on how a distro worked
Whichever one you chose is the wrong one!
Well since your building a computer your more tech savvy then most people. I have been using Linux for about 20 years now. If you pick something like Linux Mint or others make sure you have a solid /home partition and migrate to what’s ever distro you like most. It allows you to move around and not lose your data.
Worst case you do some distro hopping for a little bit and then install Windows and there is nothing wrong with that. I have a windows laptop for the very reason that Windows works best with certain apps just like I use a Mac for video editing
Intel gfx and no issues
