Yes, please do all these things, I’m le tired.
I wonder if that site pings an IPv6 address on the virgin network and updates the output automatically based on the ping result.
Never used them in my life and I’ve been machine computing over 25 years. Always one monitor, one desktop. I close shit I dont need regularly, I click on icons on the tab bar to get to the app I need. The tab bar is wide enough to hold like 30+ of them. Why do I need more than one desktop? Windows go over another, the tab bar shows everything I have open. Why switch? I never got it.

Someone in this thread posted a similar thing that’s probably better. When I left, there wasn’t anything like it so I had to cobble something together.
Yeah… I did this too when leaving. Made a small app to edit and delete every comment I made. I actually had a useful IT related self hosting post which was also nuked. I guess that’s the price the whole community had to pay for reddits thirst for profit.
Although, long ago, I heard of a rumor; all of reddit was frequently backed up and available for download. Is that still a thing? Was it ever a thing?
Looks good to me. Venting of gasses, ear protection, two hand safety. It’s not prefect and its menial work but it looks like they have certain standards which are upheld.
Ahh, calmed me down. Never thought of doing anything like you’re doing it here, but I do like it.
Wow, you pull new images every time you boot up? Coming from a mindset of having rock solid stability, this scares me. You’re living your life on the edge my friend. I wish I could do that.
That’s actually impressive. It looks so crisp too. Small print is hard.
Indeed a good recommendation. I’ve not set it up yet but I’m probably going to do so in the near future.
I access it through a reverse proxy (nginx). I guess the only weak point is if someone finds out the domain for it and starts spamming the login screen. But I’ve restricted access to the domain for most of the world anyway. Wireguard would probably be more secure but its not always possible if like on vacation and want to use it on the TV there…
“You see your honor, they were wearing ski masks, and I’ve been taught by Hollywood that a group of people wearing ski masks in the middle of the day with a black van means they are up to no good. So I took it to my own hands to shoot these motherfuckers down.”
Music folder on a network share. Navidrome and plex and jellyfin all have access to that library, then pick your poison for the client app. Plex is also DLNA enabled so my dumber AVR can access it too. I mostly use tempo app on android though. I’m a pinch, I can use navidromes web UI player to listen. The plex and jellyfin are mainly just a backup and overkill cause I can’t make up my mind.
Not a lot. Maximum power a fridge would draw is around 150W and it will work for about 8 hours per day so 1.2 kW. A 1 m² panel should provide enough power and energy, even with conversion losses. You’d need a battery though.
What if Russia is like Pluto?
I generally agree with you and its what I did, but why do i need yet another device plugged in, draining power all the time? I dont want to leave an even larger co2 footprint and software support on existing hardware could aid in that. The android box is a workaround, not a green enough solution in my opinion.
I actually don’t! I’ll check it out if it fits my needs. Thanks!
