I mean… Can’t happen if you keep your stuff encrypted like with KeePassXC. Even if someone gets my password database, it’s useless for them since they don’t know how to decrypt it. That’s why I don’t use some online service, though using one of the online services is certainly better than reusing a weak remembered password.

The year of the Linux desktop isn’t as interesting anymore. It all sort of works good enough for most people not to need to care now.

What we need is the year of the Linux phone. And it think that we will have to still wait a long time for it. And no, Google/Linux does not count.

Pretty cool collection you have there. Unfortunately, the web version doesnt seem super accessible to Smartphones. Is that all a huge codebase? Has charm.

For sudoku, I recommend LibreSudoku, which is foss, has a really nice and modern UI, and features killer sudoku as an alternative game mode (which I much prefer).

X11 is the display server. Your desktop environment, like gnome, has a window manager managing your opened applications and tells the display server “please render this stuff on the actual screen”.

X11 is ancient and sucks, because for example, it can’t do fractional scaling well, which is important for screens that have a higher resolution, since everything appears tiny otherwise.

The display server also offers some functionalities that the desktop environment can make use of, like global hotkeys, or screen sharing.

I’m not an expert or anything, but I think it’s about right like this.
