It’s such a shame that this thread is full of people discussing whether or not a global menu is even a good thing. On Debian I have literally not been able to find a single browser that respects the global menu. I’m going to try everything in this thread, and hope something finally works!

Always glad to see another EXWM user in the wild! If they ever manage to add gaps like the other window managers, I think it will really take off in popularity.
Rbon@lemmy.sdf.orgto Linux@lemmy.ml•Found this blast from the past (2015) on an old hard drive19·2 years agoI’m not joking when I say that the compiz cube was the reason I got into Linux back in the day. In hindsight, it was just a neat graphical gimmick, but it was enough to spark my lifelong love for free software.
I honestly had given up hope this would ever happen. For global menu enjoyers, this is the holy grail of programs that just refused to play nice.
