I wouldn’t trust a premade iso like that. Get an iso directly from Microsoft and use an unattended autoinstall script to clean things up.

I’m surprised no one ever tried to compile all the hacks into a single open source plugin or emulator. There are only around 400 retail games for the N64 which seems pretty manageable to have some sort of game detection ruleset for various hacks.
It seems like in recent years N64 emulation is finally improving somewhat with lower level emulation like the parallel64 core in retroarch.
Long term decompilation is the better solution regardless but it’s going to take a good amount of time to decompile all the games of significance for the N64.

This is a good documentary on the “miniature garden” concept Mr. Miyamoto is referring to in the interview.
Both the default network mounting options in Gnome and KDE won’t let applications access the network drive. You have to mount using SMB4k or cifutils if you want application access. I’ve not used MacOS in over a decade but that functionality works seamlessly in windows for SMB shares. It’s honestly a minor reason (among others) I went back to windows.
Diddy Kong racing.
Do you think Nintendo will sue me if I identify as Super Mario 64 (8mb)?
It can, I couldn’t figure out how to generate the OTR files on Linux so I had to do that on windows first. (It may be possible in Wine, I just didn’t have that setup.) You also have to change some of the settings in the config json file.

Then, add the executable to steam as a non-steam game.
I really like the N64 NSO controller. Unfortunately it has potentiometer based sticks. Would really love a drop in replacement to be compatible with those controllers as well.
I’m a simple man, I see code and I copy and paste it into the terminal with no understanding of what it does.
Corn Kidz 64 has the best graphics of any game of the last 20 years. I will fight and die on this hill.
I don’t think it’s out yet but there is likely to be semi-untethered hen for PS4 and PS5 soon.
Pants!? To protect their newfound legs for the cold Canadian winter!
Perhaps it could be state funded? It worked for PBS for a time and it still mostly works for the BBC. Why not a browser? A truly independent steward for the open web is important and it doesn’t seem like Google is capable of that.
They could potentially release source only with no art assets. Then you wouldn’t be able to compile the game without either owning the game or pirating the assets elsewhere. But it would allow community members to update the game when it breaks or to add new features. Similar to the Mario 64 decompile.
While all this would be great for consumers it would probably take legislation to get publishers on board with something like this. Publishers have a financial incentive to let the games languish then force you to pay to get a “remastered” version.
I feel personally attacked by this comment.
I spent like 8 hours yesterday figuring out how to install viewtube on my NAS because I got the YouTube Adblock warning on my iPad.
If it’s a fine from the state it should be scaled based on you’re income or wealth. If Jeff Bezos gets a parking ticket it should sting him as much as it stings someone making the minimum wage. Meaning the ticket should probably be in the millions.

Foss licenses are copyleft, they bar individuals from enclosing the commons built by the collective for profit. Anarchism isn’t just letting people do whatever they want. Anarchism means against hierarchy. Having rules that prevent unjustified hierarchies from forming is entirely with in the bounds of anarchism. Including rules that prevent using copyright as a coercive hierarchy.
I’m not saying just it for you, I’m saying so other people don’t just search “tiny11” and install whatever they find.
Your more nuanced response is appreciated.
I still think the unattended install script is a bit more transparent.
