Seems they cut corners everywhere yet think just calling it a flagship means they can charge Apple prices. Very underspec imo I can’t see this selling to anyone but Carl Peis biggest fanboys.
Even to them I’d say wait for the inevitable price drop when they try to shift these.
Biggest problem with twitter/X is so many companies mess you around until you call them out on it, then things tend to get resolved how they should have been.
I truthfully have always seen that as Twitter/X’s only use
To be honest I’ve never bought into the whole cloud music thing, at the minute I’ve most of my storage taken up by music and TV on my phone.
I use Neutron music player for music and for video a mix of Stremio and mx player pro.
I use connect it works as well as any reddit 3rd party client does. Tried a few other but I like connect best.
When you can put an Android fork on an arm laptop then I’ll care.
To be fair I tried it due to this post and I’ve already removed it, it does nit do a good job of teaching new players what they are meant to be doing.
I won’t be too hard on it because I assume there’s a good game in there but yeah presumably you already need to know factorio or whatever it’s called.
Reason I don’t use Freetube is it will never show age restricted videos because it doesn’t sign into YouTube your also limited to a max of 1080.
I dunno I really like “The Boys” and “Fallout” they seem to actually make decent shows where as Netflix just churns out low budget garbage they manage to cancel before you even know exist.
Really going to miss the grand tour though TV won’t be the same without those 3 together.
Have you ever used upx on a windows machine, defender throws fits and deletes everything.
Google’s gone full evil between this and all the YouTube ruining.
I’ve bought apps on Google Play where I’ve had to download the apk elsewhere because of restrictions like scoped storage making them almost unusable.
Neutron music players one example where they have to keep an apk on their own site to get round Google restrictions. as scoped storage is about 20 times slower not to mention a real hassle. PPSSPP is another example and probably a lot of emulators were folder access is kind of important.
Yeah the dev seems to jump straight to any issues even now, seems like a great guy to me he could easily charge for such a polished app and as long as the greed wasn’t mad I’d pay it.
How has nobody said Connect yet, I tried most of the other clients people mentioned and settled on connect.
This is after using Sync Pro for years on Reddit the pricing of the lemmy version just put me right off to the point I’ll admit I haven’t even tried it but then again I’m not interested in anything that puts ads on an adless service and I also will never try it as long as this is the case.
Connect is free and the developer is great

Fair point I forgot Mastodon even existed honestly, I did try it early on but it’s not for me.
I honestly don’t get it, to me I just see user IDs I haven’t the slightest clue what race someone is or isn’t on here. I vote solely based on whether they make a good point or a bad point.
I really suspect in future years it’ll be revealed Nothing is a oneplus brand, I mean I know a lot of people already suspect it but yeah I d say Nothing is to One plus what Honor is to Huawei.
Yep every article you ever see about them is some type of gimmick or another and most of them last about as long as Nothing Messages did.
My Nothing is the most unstable Android device I’ve ever owned and they don’t ever actually fix anything just come out with childish gimmicks.
I think the last one was Chat Gpt integration which turned out to just be a widget that launches chatgpt if you manually install it and even that only worked for a couple of weeks and chatgpts own widget is better so what was the point.
I tried it about a year ago and instantly dismissed it, not one video that I found slightly interesting.
Even after reading this Im not going to try it again because it was just that bad.
