I guess they’ve given up on not influencing future events, which is probably fine since their first act was to save the life of a minor noble.

Love that panel of Land taking the hit for Ubel not out of self-sacrifice, but because he’s there as a clone anyways so it’s not as much of a problem for him to get hurt. Would be a neat twist if we discovered that this Ubel was also a clone because she finally understands Land well enough to use his technique, but it seems that isn’t the case. Maybe we’ll get something like that in the future, who knows.
I kind of hear you. The ending surprised me too.
I love Kaguya-sama: Love is War, but it’s not perfect. One of my favorite Papa Shirogane scenes got cut when they made the movie!
In addition to what other have suggested, here are my favorite recent and semi-recent shows that are on Crunchyroll:
When Yoshiki suggested they skip school I felt a vague sense of foreboding. When he called his mom I felt a much stronger sense of foreboding. I guess we know where that knife in the OP comes from now!
Also this show continues to be the gayest thing ever. I couldn’t help laughing when Hikaru gave Yoshiki half of himself. The symbolism is not subtle.
I read lots of manga so that’s perfect. Thanks!
Crazy to see The Way of the Househusband on here; it’s one of the worst adaptation I’ve ever seen. Indeed it feels generous to even say they animated it.
What are your favorites? The only thing I can think of that I’ve seen is Wotakoi and even that has a relationship in it that’s kinda toxic.
Have you been watching City the Animation? Made by the same people who did Nichijou, and it shows.
That maid cafe scene was amazing. What great friends Momo has! I especially liked the shot where Ken was trying his best to find anywhere at all to look that wasn’t too embarrassing for him.
They were having such a serious conversation and all I could think about was that Suguri had dropped a high-carbon steel sword into the lake and didn’t seem to care at all.
Can’t say I expected even a little bit that that guy’s magic could do a thing to Clevatess, but here we are.
If you’re genuinely curious to know why it’s so good the Quest for the Best podcast has announced they’ll be discussing that on this monday’s episode.
Keeping a cast of dozens of main characters fresh in everyone’s minds is an incredibly difficult task. In order to succeed they’ve been doing lots of chapters that cram as many characters in them as possible, and I feel like that’s making it harder for them to do really interesting stories. It’s also slowed the rate at which new girlfriends are introduced; I think it’s about 1 per volume now. This doesn’t bode well for the goal of actually hitting 100, but we’ll see what happens.
I’m just over here reading Re:Zero at the speed of molasses. I’m something like 4 hours in and only 1/3 of the way through the first volume. It seems it will take me a while, but it’s kind of fun to read the original text after having already seen all this stuff animated. I’m curious to see whether I’ll spot any differences, though it has been a while since I’ve seen the show so maybe not.
They didn’t have to end it on such a sad note!
Recently re-watched most of the first few seasons of Demon Slayer right after having re-read the manga. Seeing the two versions side-by-side like that was fun; I was interested to find that a lot of the boring-ass demon backstories are much much shorter in the manga. I skipped over them this time as I was watching and it was a much better experience.
I also started watching Takopi’s Original Sin this week. I’m two episodes in and wow. That’s a dark, dark show. It’s kind of difficult to watch. Very well-executed though. I recommend it to anyone who doesn’t particularly feel like being happy.
I also started watching Milky☆Subway: The Galactic Limited Express. As WatDabney said, it’s a great time. I love how densely packed it is. They’re constantly either expanding on the characters, making a joke, or setting up for a joke. No downtime.
I’ve heard a few people say this, but I think that’s incredibly rare these days. At the very least, I almost never see it. In fact I can only think of one instance I’ve seen in the last 10 years.
That’s pretty much what he says in the original Japanese though.
