So they are using AI to produce content that will probably be exclusively consumed by AI that tries to learn how to make content.
Basically, a complete shit eating cycle that only has real food once at the beginning.
Nvidia compatibility had been getting steadily worse on x.org for the four or five years prior to the switch to wayland. It is getting steadily better on wayland now and I would pick wayland from a stability point of view right now.
Sadly, that has not been my experience. I tried using wayland on several different computers with nvidia cards (yeah yeah I know, would not buy them again today), and the result was pretty terrible. Random crashes terrible. The same is not true with X. It is also not simply the case of the nvidia propriatary drivers being terrible (they are), because on one of the machines, I installed the open source driver instead (mostly because the proprietary driver would spin the fan full speed all the time, and I found no way to stop it from doing that).
I should add an alias for ‘snyc’
Aye. Technically, hornets are just a bigger kind of wasps, but they still do hunt their smaller cousins.
The only thing really to know is that it is not advisable to get too close to their nest. If you leave them be, they leave you be, too.
Hornets in your neighbourhood are a good thing - they eat wasps and other nuisances, and they do not usually sting you.
This was in the late 90s of the previous millennium, so I do not remember exactly how much I used, but you cannot buy acetone in gallons in Germany, only in small quantities.
This happened to me one time, however there is a big “but”.
A friend gave me a big coffee can half full of dry weed. He told me it was really really old, and it probably wouldn’t “work” anymore. It looked kinda old, too, sort of grayish-green and not very appealing.
I had never smoked before, and so I thought I should make edibles out of it. I did some research and resolved to extract the resin with acetone. It was a bit of work, especially getting all the acetone needed without too many questions, but I did it, and I successfully extracted the resin. I then looked up a cookie recipe and worked the resin in there.
Now, I was a really dumb semi-intelligent adolescent. I kept remembering my friend telling me this was probably not going to do anything. So when the first cookie seemed to do nothing after an hour, I thought “at least I have some decent cookies”, and I proceed to eat them all.
Turned out my friend was very very wrong.
…which makes Overstreet’s argument for urgency even weirder.
We have a customer, a big international corporation, that has very specific rules for their intranet passwords:
I can only assume that whoever came up with these rules is either an especially demented BofH, or they have some really really weird legacy infrastructure to deal with.
I think shes got a company now that is making extra comfy bras.
There, there. Here, have a hug:

Nope, only Morrowind. Arena and Daggerfall had no mod support at all, nor was a construction set delivered with them.

Was there on business, visiting a factory of a large vehicle manufacturer, down in the south east. My god these people were nice. There was a guy who made sure we had everything we needed to get our work done, who would literally jump and run if we needed anything. There were people bringing us mini choco croissants for meetings. They always invited us for lunch and paid for it. There was always coffee for us if we needed it. We had desks to work on, which is a rarity in a factory environment, but they made it possible.
The best part was when we were standing at the line with a special piece of equipment that we had brought, and a guy stopped and said “hey, that looks interesting, what’s it for?” - and then we chatted about that for five minutes, eventually realizing it was time for a meeting. For both of us. Five minutes later, it turns out the guy who casually talked to us tech people was actually the head of their corporate IT. You wouldn’t have been able to tell that he was some higher up because he was so down to earth and friendly and casual. They all were. It was a mighty pleasure working with them.

Kernel undercarriage rust inhibitor.
There are some older Linux kernel developers who might actually be interested in that, too.
