Very cool. It reminds me of Esao Andrews’ style.

Most app devs fuck it up (especially the lazy bastards that just throw everything in /opt and call it a day). I like being the dev who won’t let my code ship until everything fits nicely into FHS 3.0.
There’s dozens of us.

Art Share🎨@lemmy.world•color pencil recommendations?English
3·9 months agoWhile I do love prismacolor (mentioned in the other reply), if you’re looking to save a little bit of money, I enjoy Derwent Coloursoft. They are wax based, so they do have limits on layering; however they go down easy and blend well up until that point.
(To avoid amazon, I’d order from dick blick or another art supply store)

2·1 year agoI actually really like that fsutil case sensitivity can be set on a folder by folder basis so that I can have a safe space to deal with Linux files.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Why do radio stations all seem to go on commercial at the same time?
1·1 year agoAgreed. For an example of station id happening at slightly off times, listen to a live sports broadcast (like baseball). Due to the shorter time between pitches, station id will instead happen between batters, which won’t line up with any given time.
Same thing with hockey, where radio station id will happen when the clock stops.

4·2 years agoIt’s slowly coming back to me… There was a floppy disk that you needed to launch the raid config? Also the platform ran pretty well with debian 4.0 if you’re debating what to run on it.

9·2 years agoFor a non-pizza comment: I’ve been out of the hardware game for awhile, but the last time I had to set one of these up for RAID, the paper manual (which can probably be found digitally) was helpful. I also vaguely recall RAID 5 either having issues or being unavailable.

They might be referring to the Warner Brothers disc rot issue announced earlier this year (affecting some mid 2000s dvds). Ideally, things are made well and last a long time when stored properly.
