And here’s how and why it will be enshitified:

It’s for control. Same reason companies support administrating health insurance. It’s massively complicated and expensive but it enables control over the workforce.
And… it’s the physical manifestation of the hierarchy supporting exec and investor ‘king’ egos over their proverbial kingdom.
Most execs are also extroverts and run their businesses through personal relationships and experiences. And of course, the company pays for their commutes, housing, meals, and all the other reasons you and others have posted about. It’s advantageous, for them.

Crypto and AI focus was a weird step before all this came out. But now we know Andy is pro republican… completes a very unappealing picture. We should have a database tho, plenty of c level execs and investor groups do far worse and get no scrutiny simply because they don’t post about it on the internet.
Generally find PBS (News Hour) to be a good source overall. The Guardian’s coverage of the US is generally decent. Others include ProPublica, The Intercept and some of NPRs reporting (it’s gotten v corpo friendly but some good content remains). Al Jazeera can have good framing of what the US looks like from the outside.
Have taken issue with most of these on occasion and it’s difficult to keep up with each of their politics. Would love to see other suggestions.
