3·11 days agoThey pulled into my instance not long after! I think sometimes you have to be the first subscriber to see content because the instance itself won’t subscribe if nobody wants that data.
I see zero posts on my instance. I may be the first subscriber from here!

111·22 days agoReminds me of a professor who linked a pirate copy of the text book in his syllabus and warned several times do not attempt to use these sources because doing so is a violation of copyright law! Please purchase the book!

How was memory use actually reduced? I read several articles on this, but I didn’t see anyone talking about how they achieved this.
My experience with childhood computers conditioned me to close everything instantly when I’m done with it even if it means I might have to reload the page later.
I thought they specifically take anti-fingerprinting measures by default? Is this not true?

There is no real constraint so long as you’re contributing.
You can still annoy people even if you only ever post exactly one time.

Sounds reasonable to me.
I understand the position that these old containers are not and cannot be supported, but I disagree with the argument that this is a vulnerability in unmaintained software and therefore should not be fixed. It’s malware. One should not knowingly host malware even if the activation of that malware isn’t likely.
