Sounds like a jerk. Hey if she wants to be a a manager maybe she could be transferred to a different store… 🤞
If you have private 1-1 conversations with your boss that might be a good time to bring this up.

Good article. I would imagine one large stressor for admins is “how am I supposed to pay for this?” With instances needing to upgrade because of the huge influx of users.
The article suggests a non-profit for mental health support for admins and moderators. While I like the idea, I think we can go further—a non profit to help pay for running instances and paying admin and developer salaries. The names mentioned in the article would make sense for something like this (for instance, Mozilla. Also, how about the EFF?)
Nice workaround!
This is very interesting. What date will show up in Lemmy for the post? The current date/time or the original?
@lengsel@latte.is not.coffee I did not, super interesting.
And there’s an app which does this, too - it’s called Briar.
Cool I had not heard of this, thanks!
Nice. Thanks for sharing this story. Needing to contact manufacturers over the mail and asking for datasheets? Much more difficult than my first experience building my first computer, a 386.
Ha Phoenix still running! That’s awesome.
Oh yes. We got a pirated copy from my dad’s work friend.
Awesome story, thanks for sharing. Takes me back to the day.
This turned into Mozilla, and Mozilla—based on the Netscape code base—was seen as bloated. So a project from the Mozilla team was launched to create a more lightweight browser. It was named Phoenix while in beta, and the plan was to name it Firebird. This conflicted with some other copyright out there so they named it Firefox. It seemed like an odd choice of name at the time.
And now Firefox is seen as bloated by many. History repeats itself I suppose.
The memories. I remember being excited buying an 80 MbB hard drive from Computer Shopper.
How about giving away much of your money so that the world can expect more and things can get a little easier for those who are living paycheck to paycheck?
