Nice, someday I’ll try those games. Sekiro is cool but hard as hell.
I like this, but the characters look like their from something. I don’t really remember them being on the original meme, who are they?

I actually have it on gog, but I’ve had a few issues running it on Linux. I haven’t tried it a while, and I didn’t troubleshoot much at all. I should give it another try.

Holy crap I thought I was the only one that played that game.

I would assume it will, if the SoC performance is in the same ballpark. Pixels have good NPU specs but their CPU, GPU and RAM feel like mid range options compared to snapdragons. So I don’t think that’s a high bar to hit. I don’t run graphene because I’m not buying a google phone, but I would consider running it on something else.

I actually think this could be it. Nokia has always been a little adventurous with their operating systems, and I think they are eager to claw back their old reputation.

I’m sure this has a lot to do with it, but that’s exactly what I’m going on about. I’m not mad at the guys downtown that want to brew beer, or their customers. I’m mad at the stores for filling the shelves with crap I don’t want to drink at home when there are plenty of great beers that get pushed to the wayside so that a mega brewery can sell a more expensive product.

I can’t find Newcastle brown ale around me anymore, used to be one of my go-to’s. Smithwicks is very hard to find, but a decade ago it was regularly on tap at bars. Rochefort is only in the smaller bottles now, can’t get the big ones for sharing. I could go on, but I think that’s a good start. None of these are out of production, they just aren’t available in my area anymore.

Except import beers disappeared from my market years ago, way before the current tarrifs. Maybe something happened 10-15 years ago with tarrifs that I’m not educated about. I drink a few beers a year at this point. I want something I like, not an adventure in a bottle.

I agree with this. When I first started drinking I could get a beer and be pretty sure I would like it. Then the micro brews came along and pushed the IPA fad to the extreme. Now the only thing at the store is cheap ass lagers and skunky IPAs. If I wanted my mouth to taste like skunk I would smoke a joint ffs. In the last 20 years nearly all of my favorite imports are either no longer around, are almost impossible to find around me, or have gone up so far in price it’s not worth it. When a local brewery actually makes something I like it’s rare, and generally limited runs.

I personally think this is a better idea than an old laptop. Easier to work on if the fan or SSD ever dies, and the cooling is a little better than any cheaper laptops I have worked on. It also wouldn’t need to be a NUC, basically every PC company makes a SFF or 1L sized computer, I’m partial to the Lenovo but the Dell’s are pretty nice too. I have about 8 Lenovo that are used as mini servers between home and work, on 24/7

I understand what you’re saying, but I think the user counts and usages would matter big time. I used to run it on the smallest plan DO offered, but I haven’t in a few years now. No idea if the usage requirements have grown over time, and that was just for 2 users. I know a lot of people run it on a NAS in a VM or container, that’s not exactly a dedicated machine either.

Look into digital ocean. They have pretty cheap hosting, like $6 a month last time I checked. You used to be able to get a month for free too. If it looks like a good option I can probably rustle you up a referral code.
The pixel art style looks nice. The furry characters don’t appeal to me in the slightest. I bounced off of Dust because I just couldn’t get into the furry world. Would I have the same issue with this game?

If it’s not a Dell it’s an HP Compaq. HP bought Compaq and used the name for branding for a while. It would have been one of the last Compaq branded towers.

I mean, how long should a laptop work? OP said it was pretty old, these things happen. I totally understand wanting to keep what you have going as long as you can, but hard drives have a lifespan and it’s usually around 3 years of constant use. SSD are a little better but flash still ages. Not ideal but at a certain point you kinda gotta accept that it’s not long for this world if you don’t do maintenance.

Pretty much how I feel about it too. It’s not like I invented anything here, I mostly copied it from others or the docs. I will share snippets with people if it helps them but I’m not publishing everything either. Might need to look into yadm at some point.
I would much rather have RAW files and manual focus over manual exposure. Auto exposure gets better all the time and it’s really pretty decent these days. But sometimes you want to take a picture of a mushroom or flower and the manual focus might be necessary to get the shot you want. But for myself the RAW files would probably be enough to push me towards the 4.
