2 years agoNot really answering your question, but FSF’s criteria here are straight up insane to me. Apparently, just mentioning “open source” is unethical, as well as ever letting anyone write “Linux” instead of “GNU/Linux”.

I’m glad you mentioned SimpleX. I think it’s a really cool and promising idea, yet hardly anyone knows about it :(


A bit different, but is anyone using SimpleX?
They think having downstream distros that repackage their software without adding anything is useless, and they want more customers. I get it, but meh.
Also, it doesn’t help that they communicated it poorly making it sound worse than it actually is.
