This is such a Lemmy/self hosted problem lol
This is such a Lemmy/self hosted problem lol
It’s referring to edge computing, and can be thought of as essentially saying “self hosting”.
Makes sense!
To be fair though, if you’re hooking up an Ethernet cord you’ve already lost in the “ugly and cumbersome” department.
This does sound like it could be a liability issue if not done correctly
‘sudo’ is another contender
Wut.
Are you speaking from anecdotal experience or something?..
The self hosted community is probably the worst place you could ask about something while ruling out “privacy and tinkering”. Those words might as well be the motto here.
That is coincidentally exactly what meta is arguing in their lawsuit.
I wouldn’t expect folks working on Linux to be discouraged by the sweat equity of something as small as running the installer for an OS. I definitely read “just work” to mean having all components supported by the OS, regular updates available, etc.
I’ve only lived with stucco all my life, but in tackling unknown home improvement projects I’ve found Google lens to be a lifesaver to learn what all the pieces parts I’m dealing with are called.
I also learned that one today…
Is the pei build plate in need of rejuvenation by chance?
I’m not a very active printer, but everything I’ve seen about tpu printing on pei sheets suggests that it sticks too well - oftentimes ripping chunks of pei out.
If your sheet is pretty old, iirc you can rejuvenate it by rubbing it with some fine steel wool.
Also, have you tried a raft instead of a brim?
100%. This is just due to the cost of hitting their servers in case you can’t reach your network
Right, but IIRC anyone can go on the plex.tv website and use shared servers due to the “proxy”
Season 7 spoilers
I really liked that after uncle slows death, they had this scene from his wife that shows the value in moving on. Not that she didn’t care and love him - in fact you still see his picture at the end. It’s such a good foil to how Rick approached things. They’re happy too.
People who like Rick and Morty.
People who look up to Rick.
Louis Rossman, a strong advocate for the right to self-repair, has an extensive, bottom to top guide on self hosting your own services. It starts from introducing what a modem is and what role it plays, and it ends with an entirely self hosted cloud. It comes in article as well as 13 hour video form. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to get started self hosting - it doesn’t just introduce software you should learn, but it also shows you how to configure it.
I finally got link warden up and running, but I’m chasing down some failures on a few websites.
Also realized that me biting the bullet for unlimited bandwidth (screw you Comcast!) means I can run archive team warrior, so that’s been going.
Wonderful de-escalation lol.
