reminds me of Andromium. I thought that was a neat idea, but never tried it. The last time I played with gnome mobile on a pinephone, it seemed to be getting to a point where it could probably be used for something like this. It adjusted to whatever size screen it was running on. It also looked nice on the pinetab, but really need better hardware.

8·2 years agothere’s been a lot of work the past couple years for gnome mobile. It looked nice on my pinetab and pinephone about a year ago. Would be great on a more powerful tablet
I found out about linux in 2001 while using mIRC on Windows 98 and telling someone about all the crashes and BSOD I was getting. They recommended I try linux. Someone offered to burn Mandrake 8.0 cd’s and mail them to me. I used it for about 2 years before I first started distro hopping.

1·2 years agoi searched for 55 inch dumb tv on amazon and found this: https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Business-Software-Speakers-LH55BETHLGFXGO/dp/B08651PB1J/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?crid=3CGW6YLKH5VBI&keywords=dumb+tv+55+inch&qid=1688732714&sprefix=dumb+tv+55+inch%2Caps%2C151&sr=8-3
not sure how much you’re wanting to pay, but this doesn’t sound too bad. I’m looking to upgrade soon myself. I have a 40 inch dumb 1080 Element TV. It works well still, but wanting bigger and 4k. I’ll probably move the one i currently have to my son’s room.
edit: there are some better deals I think. That was just one of the first links. It’s only 60hz, you might find one that’s 120hz for not much more.
I had a script in termux that used exiftool to rename and organize photos and then rsync them to my backup. That was on an older phone. I need to do that again!
