Check out Debian as well! (or lmde) I have recently switched from Arch to Debian (with sway) to have some more stability. Love it so far, I don’t bother about configs or having by dependencies anymore and can just focus on actually doing some work. Arch has a really active community though with a big repository (which quality varies a lot) and nice documentation.

I live and work in a bigger city. So its really convenient to quickly pop into a shop and take something i need with me. Also I see what I get its really nice. I also like that good shops are well curated. I know that its nice to have all the options listed on the web but sometimes is hard go through all the garbage that is on here. And even though I believe the number of shops where this is possible is gets smaller i know a bike shop where they know everything about bikes so I also get good consultation.

Also, at least for something like this feels like hack more than anything. Maybe its not, i did not look inside the code. But just from outside I would assume that would break with every GIMP release and even if not it would never feel “right”.
