I’m on 141.0.3, and I can open the chat from the sidebar. There is a checkmark to disable it in the settings, but when I switch to vertical tabs (which I’ve been using for a bit), the setting can’t be disabled like that. I could ignore it, but it’s a matter of principle, too.

Same, yet I don’t see any AI stuff (thankfully!). Maybe I’m missing something. Anyway, yes, screw any opt-out feature. I feel your pain.
