Because people have so many other options…
Or just buy brands popular with Chinese. It just takes research that no one is willing to do, then they complain that thing they ordered off AliExpress is crap.
If people survive the “apocalypse” then glasses will survive too. You just likely won’t be lucky enough to get lenses that are a perfect match for your prescription.
6 out of 7 houses on my street have at least one person with vision problems. Between the six of the houses we probably conservatively have 50 pairs of lenses if you count all the old pairs people tend to hang on to. My house has at least 10 just by itself.
That’s how it would work in a post apocalypse too. People who wear glasses right now are typically on vision plans that allow for a new pair every year. I have like 5 old pairs, 4 of which no longer are really strong enough.
So depending on how far down the road post apocalypse you either randomly go through houses until you find a pair good enough, or if enough time has passed there will almost certainly be people specializing in selling glasses and medical things.
Now if you are far sighted all you have to do is walk into any abandoned CVS and go look through the huge rack of cheater lenses they have.
So like limoncello?
Between this and the ballroom it would be a minor blessing if Canada burnt the place down again.
Not sure how expensive it was during biblical times, but you can buy frankincense resin for $10/100 Gram, so seems cheap.
What’s even better is just the other night I was on this thread about Frankincense being an antidepressant. So my brain immediately went to that.
Nah, you usually have to direct message them via WhatsApp. You will have to pay like 15 or 20 shipping, so people usually buy a few pairs at a time.
There are specific marketplaces for things, but they tend to only sell bulk. Aliexpress is all resellers.
I am not even sure if the ones I posted sell exact knock offs or not though.
Feels like slam dunk small claims. They might not even bother sending a representative.
I totally agree with this analysis. There are also so many factors that we don’t know about. The age difference alone could be awkward, he is drinking age, she is not. He might go for a night cap before bed, and be double so inclined being in a strange environment. But she might not be able to legally drink, yet he can, and maybe her parents are teetotalers… who knows?
Or maybe he usually sleeps with a CPAP, and didn’t want to bring it up early in the relationship.
Or it could not even be about night at all. Maybe he responds poorly to mornings. Or often has a flare up of IBS or something in mornings.
There could be all sorts of issues people may have… And I am mostly highlighting outliers not more common things like social anxiety.
I just assume there are spontaneous bookies. I have seen gambling addicts become spontaneous bookies at events. They understand the odds better than most and just build in a big vig to reduce downside liability, espescially if they think there won’t be a lot of transactions.
Reframe spending as stimulating the economy.
Create jobs through a green new deal that allows for upeard mobility for the motivated. Small business grants.
Create tax incentives for, endorse and give loam grants to businesses that provide workers with a share of a company. Whether co-op type thing or convoluted stock share program.
Young men want to matter, and they want to see the results of their effort.
You would just package 2 of them in one episode and show the good sides of the restaurant. Fresh ingredients, clean facilities, etc as like a mini advertisement. They could be like adverts and incentivize the restaurants to let them film.
Plus not all TV has to be dramatic.
I think by nature it would be that way as they aren’t going to do a half dozen reshoots to get a dramatic conversation. It could also be a nice advertisement for clean restaurants. How reassuring would it be to see that your favorite restaurant is using fresh ingredients that are dated, stored and handled properly!
It’s almost getting harder to find accurate information now with information overload, especially when a ton of it is just AI or SEI marketing sites.
Oh man… I bet this really was a shower thought for you
I mean maybe real life super villains are all lame nazis, the comparisons are from movies afterall.
