I noticed the other day my car can play MP3 CDs and Ive been thinking about popping the one I used to have in my first car in there. It’s still in one of the 5 CD books I have in my closet.

The places I’ve seen in my area from various jobs, including IT and network installation sometimes still ran on an OS that pre-dates fucking DOS for their machinery. 😳

We say it “hallucinates” because it doesn’t consciously do anything. It literally throws everything at the wall and sees what sticks. The results are also often quite insane (especially with generative video), envoking the idea of drug-fueled hallucinations.

I still use Samba to do everything related to filesharing (including music streaming). I haven’t needed to touch my media server in years. It just continues to work. 🤷‍♂️

Since it’s just normal network filesharing, pretty much any music player that has samba support works. On a PC, I like Winamp. On my phone, VLC.
