You’re still ignoring the argument that a hybrid doesn’t have a typical vehicle alternator, it has a charging system that’s whole job is to generate electricity from the engine, and do that efficiently and reliably, and it has an electric a/c compressor.
5 minutes? Luxury. I drive a 20 year old minivan. My commute is 15 minutes. It’s just starting to get noticeably cooler once I arrive.
My son was born with a heart defect. VSD if you’re curious. Basically, the most important thing is to eat, gain weight, and outgrow it. What do you think is the one thing we can’t get him to do? He’s now 8 years old and just a hair over 50 pounds. He’s normal height for his age, but skinny as a rail. He refuses to eat anything but chicken nuggets and french fries, and a handful of other things, the only vegetable we can get him to eat is carrots. Yes, I’ve googled how to feed him a few times, but without much success.

Correct. But who can tell the difference beforehand between a normal update and an abnormal one? The problem is Windows tends to hide those details. I’ve sat on support calls where a server needs to be rebooted for some configuration change, and Windows insists on applying updates because hey, you’re rebooting anyway, so what if it takes 1/2 hour to do this thing that should take 5 minutes…
Well that explains why my job just expects me to know it without any warning… I’m almost 50, I have no problem learning new things if you tell me I need to, but when I was in school, computers were still luxuries…
