Would it still be soup once there’s no soup? No, it’d just be water then.

I mainly just hate how much time, energy, and resources we waste on the frivolous nonsense. I also think “team pride” is ultimately toxic for society, it just further entrenches nationalism and fear of the Other in the global psyche.

I didn’t imply anything, you inferred that. Also, I didn’t know idiots were born tall, that’s actually really helpful information, thanks!

Either way, just stop caring about things that have absolutely no bearing on your life whatsoever and you might find you’re much happier. At the very least, less upset.

If they ask for it, give it to them, if not, give it to the next one. As long as you didn’t put it on the table, it’s fine.
All these hypothetical customers seem to be gladly paying for the extra sauce, idk what all the bitching is about. Servers live on tips, tips are frequently determined as a percentage of the bill, bigger bill, bigger tip. This is literally you as a server making more money, just get the damn ranch jesus christ
PapaStevesy@lemmy.worldto Mildly Infuriating@lemmy.world•I asked for no sauce and got these insteadEnglish8·1 month agoMost people know how much ranch they want
If that were true, we wouldn’t be having this discussion. It’s impossible to know how much condiment you need when you haven’t seen the food portion size.
most restaurants give about the same
Experience has taught me otherwise. Most restaurants use the same-sized container for condiments, but you don’t know if you’re gonna get three ounces or half of one. Regardless, a table waiter complaining about waiting tables is not something that triggers my empathy.
You may (or may not) be surprised to learn this, but the accuracy of shrimp taxonomy actually has very little bearing on my personal happiness…
