  • That’s something trump and his people have never understood.

They expect 100% loyalty, but treat the troops like actual shit. And this isn’t gonna be a temporary thing, he’s pulling NG from the reddest states because he expects them to be most likely to obey, but it’s just pissing them off.

He should have spent the next two years spoiling the shit out them. Bonuses out the ass, lots of long paid optional training so they can bank money. Give them all the newest toys and gear.

Build up that loyalty and then bring them in next 1/6 when you’re going to pull some shit.

It’s really not that hard to figure this stuff out, the only saving grace is they’re comically inept

  • Yeah.

If you pay protection, it’s because the payment is less than random thefts would be.

The gang you pay, is supposed to be scary enough that random crime doesn’t happen in “their” areas.

So you getting robbed, is an insult to their reputation. And to regain that rep, they find the idiots who robbed a store under their protection.

Now, whether or not you see any of that money back isn’t really for sure. Because what matter is the reputation among the criminal underground.

But the whole process is outdated, I’d be surprised if it’s still happening large scale. Most likely only for businesses who are already breaking the law, they couldn’t contact cops anyways.

    Like a methlab.

You can’t call the cops even if you know who robbed the methlab. So if you don’t have muscle. You pay for protection

  • That’s more coicindence than causation tho…

Like, what’s more important than that is they were both:

    1. Historically unpopular within their own party

    2. Backing policy significantly to the right of the Dem voting base.

    3. So little charisma it was basically a negative

    4. Bought and paid for by the wealthy

    5. Openly antagonistic to anyone who didn’t only say positive things

    6. Refused to even open a dialog with the left, and a willingness to pre-emptively acquiesce to demands from the right.

    Bonus:

Bill and Hillary ran as a “two for one” so she was seen as a continuation of Bill. And Kamala couldn’t stop saying she’d do everything the same way as Biden. They made themselves “establishment candidates” when the only party that’s every worked for was Republicans. To make matters worse, trump was still running as anti-establishment and people were falling for it.

The only good time to be an “establishment candidate” is when the average American already has a good life…

That hasnt been true in a while, the majority of voters these days weren’t an adult the last time shit was ok. It’ll take a generation before the next “establishment candidate” has a shot, because it’ll take that long for people to trust the establishment again, even if we hit the ground running in 2028 and start fixing shit day 1.
