A friend of mine has trouble with that. Women’s shoes are usually the right length, but they are skinner than men’s shoes

You should snowboard! I’ve got size 12 and I’m always getting toe and heel drag when I carve too deep. But you would never need to worry about that. Fucking super power.

There was a lot more I missed when I switched, can’t think of anything now. I was going to joke that I miss being 19. But eh, I’m doing better now than I was then.

Sabayon Linux. I’m not sure if it’s still releasing updates, the main website is dead. It was based on Gentoo and later funtoo, but had a package manager of precompiled binaries. You could still use emerge if you wanted to. Definitely a weird and interesting distro
Blend OS is trying to do the declarative nixos thing but with an arch base. That’s pretty cool.
ClearOS was Intel’s attempt at an immutable os. From what I remember it was really fast.
Edit: actually it clear Linux not clearOS. Edit: also clear Linux is stateless. I don’t know, there’s a lot about it I don’t understand

Why have we given juggalos so much power?
I think some people are misunderstanding what this is trying to say. It’s not saying that you should always take the easy route with your hobbies. It is not saying that you shouldn’t learn the “right” way to do your hobby.
It’s saying that it’s just a fucking hobby. It’s purpose is to be enjoyed not mastered. Do it the hard way when you’re feeling it. But don’t force yourself to struggle because someone on the Internet said that this way is how you learn the most efficiently or get the best results.
I’m in this picture (twice) and I don’t like it.

I use Plex and jellyfin, honestly, plex only stays around because of plexamp. It’s just too good. I don’t like using streaming apps like Spotify or whatever because they’re not as good

When I first saw it I thought more about voter fraud. Dead people voting.
I watched a video a little while ago , I think the only value winamp has is nostalgic and historical. If it was really open source maybe we could get a really good fork and that’s about it, I think. Maybe I’m missing the point, let me know I’m not very smart at this stuff.

So I was teaching some kids snowboarding, one kid started talking to me about musk on the chairlift. He tells me that musk is the greatest engineer to ever live. I say that he’s really more of a business man buying up companies. Kid is not convinced. I tell him that the only engineering that musk may have done was software engineering on PayPal. Kid thinks that’s great support of his claim.
Adults and 11 year olds are pretty much the same, so I would say there’s lots of people that think musk is a super genius. Probably a dwindling amount, but there’s a lot of people on earth.

Now that you mention it, I seem to remember Xenophon stumbling across giant ruins that perplexed him while out on campaign. I think they were Persian? It very much could be drawing on the experiences of people seeing the ruins of fallen empires.
Edit: AI is telling me that Xenophon traveled through the impressive ruins of Assyrian cities, he was fighting the Persians.

I wonder who did this first? Didn’t ultima have a storyline like this, or am I misremembering a game from before I was born

Born just on the cusp of Gen z, so I’m debatably a zoomer. But weren’t pagers a big thing in hospitals for a long time? I certainly saw them while watching scrubs as a kid.

Can you just imagine how insufferable 4d tech bros would be? Yeah I’ll pass

So this would mean all mammals would have 8 limbs. That would be odd, weird even

I feel like you’re getting pushback because your definitions. Do you think you could define, open source, free, libre?
Why does software licenced under the gpl not fall under open source? What problems do you have with the OSI’s definition open source.

There is the old saying that “People don’t quit jobs, they quit bosses.” My advice is to go to therapy first, I think the question will sort itself out after that.

I’ve had a lot of luck joining a run club, but there are other activity based clubs. The trick to these though is that you need to keep going to them for a while before you really start becoming friends with people.
What’s really worked for me was working as a snowboard instructor on the weekend. I’m not saying do that specifically, but finding a second job based around teaching is an amazing way to meet other people who like meeting new people and being nice and sharing their skills and experiences. I should specify, the people I meet are other instructors. I’ve also met some people at events, like when I got my avalanche rec 1 cert.
Honestly, I don’t care. I don’t even look at that stuff, I just type in the bar thing what I want. Mozilla has to fund the project somehow.
