I lived in a country where that happened. The king gave land to peasants in return for serving in WW2 (which lead to desperate peasants who didn’t know how to use their rifles as more than clubs scaring the Germans away with their savagery). My wife’s great-great-grandfather (or maybe one more great-) got so much land that when the communists came and started arresting people for having too much wealth he split his land among his 6 sons, but they still ended up with too much and all 6 went to jail.

It has its own Wikipedia entry too.
Absolutely. A site charging to read messages will most definitely censor out emails and phone numbers and will have it in their ToS that you’re not allowed to take conversations outside the platform.
You probably don’t have fantasies of sex with odd slugs in proxima centauri. You probably don’t dream of being a brain parasite.
You’re making some big assumptions here
This a great visualization of what LLMs are about. The purpose of a LLM is to produce something that looks right. The way this math sheet looks great at first look, but the actual content is just garbage, same do LLMs create output that sounds right and it doesn’t really matter if it is. And improving LLMs is not about making the answers more reliable, it’s about making them sound even more convincing.

Afaik that varies by region
Not sure where you got that idea. Pizza was brought to America by Italian immigrants, but it has existed for long before that. Modern pizza is well known to have originated in Naples.
I just never got used to it. I grew up drinking club soda or sparkling mineral water. Also milk, I would drink liters of milk a day for a time, but no water. Flat water just doesn’t do it for me. If it’s ice cold, it’s ok, but I never think “I feel like I’d like some water now”.
No, advanced AI is more accurate than humans at identifying the things it’s specialized in and it’s an invaluable tool in many domains. LLMs, on the other hand, are not made to be accurate in anything in particular, and anyone expecting them to be just doesn’t understand how they work.
I never owned a 486 either. My first upgrade after the 286 was a Pentium.
More pixels:
Rope and anchor much easier to see here.
We’ve been engaged for a while
Doesn’t engaged mean that you proposed and she said yes? Isn’t that when you give the ring? (I don’t really know, engagement rings are not a thing in my culture, but that’s what I saw in American movies)
Never had a console growing up. PC all the way. Started with a ZX Spectrum clone, then a 286, then a Pentium 100, and so on. I got my first consoles as an adult, first the Xbox One, which I never really played anything other than Just Dance on, then a Switch, which I couldn’t really get into either and ended up playing more on Ryujinx than on the actual switch. Bought an old 3DS at one point and its also just sitting in a drawer. Guess I’m too much of a PC gamer to get into consoles.
That is one page on the Sharp website. The Sharp website still being up is not surprising. That product page still being there means that Sharp never deleted it and didn’t change whatever engine they use for their site.
I assume it’s a non-native English speaker talking about literacy. In many languages, the word for “literate” is some form of “alphabetized” (i.e. someone who knows the alphabet)
