Please don’t use manjaro. Their devs are incompetant, rarely change after fucking up, it teaches bad behaviors, and they detriment the broader ecosystem constantly.

Too tired to go through with the entire list of constant fuck ups but they’re really awful. I rarely say that any distro is a poor choice but manjaro is just awful.

If you want a semi-stable rolling release opensuse tumbleweed is a good option.

Of course never an issue with just sticking with Pop. It’s a great distro to start with but also a great distro to die with after many years of love.

Most distro are the same just with different defaults anyhow. Bazzite would be the exception though lol (also a great choice to be clear)

On postmarket the matrix was fairly active and helpful last I checked, but the lemmy is rarely used weeks between posts, not alot of chatter on mastadon, no real longstanding forums around it, and when searching for issies I’ve had not much if anything comes up at times. The wiki is nice though.

I’d argue community support to be lacking when compared to custom roms, desktop linux, or other mainstream solutions and by quite alot.

Postmarket is definitly the best of the linux phone OS’s when it comes to that. Likely all around the best too. It’s still very much lacking though

Nope! Not at all. Progress is being made and they’re kinda usable but a massive pain with many bugs, major drawbacks, and little community support. They should all be assumed to be in alpha.

The best we have right now are android forks like graphene or e/os. These are still very good options though I’ll be clear. No AI bullshit, fully de-googled (or mostly, if you need google services. Though grapheneOS can sandbox them,) and completely usable

Well buddy it’s a bit more than that. Personally, I’m not holding it against the guy maybe he’s changed so I’m not gonna freak every time I see him but pretending that’s it is wild.

The man in anger called some guy the n-word. No joke to it. Straight up, I’m angry so I’ll call this guy a racial slur. This, along with the constant (and it was constant) skirting with racism and Hitler which were framed as jokes made it clear that it wasn’t just a bunch of jokes. Wearing a military uniform that was as close to the Nazis as possible, constant talk of a final solution, jokes about ‘them’, German speaches, zieg heils, dog whistles, and alot more were commonplace in his videos at the time.

You don’t just randomly shout the n word in anger for the first time on live stream.

The guy was obviously going down the pipeline and people still don’t like him because of that. Not one joke but a constant stream of them along with a very telling instance
