I went crazy for a week. Terrifying is a little strong but I guess my experience with psychedelics made it easier to deal with

That might work. But the real way to kill it is to make it suddenly and extremely unprofitable. It’ll die in a matter of seconds if that is the case.

Is it profitable? My understanding was that the majority of companies are burning capital trying to figure out a way to make it profitable.

        Is that wrong?

It’s profitable in that it gives investors a giant pit to shovel money into. OpenAI has never ever turned a profit on its product, not even when accounting for the $200/mo subscription levels. The only way they look like they’re profitable is by getting huge amounts of investor money.

Well crap, was hoping for a deeper dive than a few anecdotes. Horrifying as this all is, not enough to really get serious public attention. Sure hopes one of these stories truly takes off in the media.

Wait. Who owns the media? Never mind.
